CKR Katahdin first purchased 3 purebred Katahdin ewes at Canadian Western Agribition in 2002 from B& R Farms of Raymore, Sask.  Two of the three bought were bred at Mish Katahdin of Glenavon. In 2003 CKR Katahdin had their first set of purebred Katahdin lambs. Now CKR Katahdins flock is made up of 3 flock sires and 1 ram lamb, 40 mature ewes and 35 ewe lambs. These ewes will lamb in March to June in 2009

From the day the first purebred Katahdin lambs were born at CKR Katahdins we have worked to improve the Katahdin breed by only keeping the best for breeding stock.
